Lower than a snake's belly.

Elderly man swindled out of $100K in collectible guns

The buyer was indeed "Lower than a snake's belly" but the seller should have collected the money first, then handed over the guns. Damn a bunch of people who take advantage of old folks!

The feds will make sure Wilborn never pays up, because he'll never HAVE $100k in his life after this.

Werry should have reported the whole lot as stolen when the checks bounced, as well as prosecuted for check fraud.

I feel sorry for the elderly guy, but lesson one in business is get the cash first! I would never have handed over something so valuable and so easy to liquidate without cash in hand. Not a check, promise, briefcase or anything else would have dissuaded me from having a cash in hand before one gun left my house.
