"Courage is fear that has said its prayers."

I saw this quote from Dorothy Bernard on a sign in front of a small Baptist church on the way up to Tennessee last weekend. Just ran across this perfect image to go with it.

Never was big on praying. Every battle I was in I was scared spitless and I am pretty sure everybody else was too. Some guys prayed. Some guys prayed a lot. Maybe it helped them. Me, I used what time I had to keep my equipment in good repair. I'm sure that helped me.

I guess courage to me is my mind telling there is something I have to do that is more important than being scared.

Thanks very much for this one. That one is settled. Just a few more to go.

How easy it would be for anyone facing aggression to run and hide and hope it goes away. And that is what we are seeing among our very fortunate, so-far, so-safe countrymen. Glenn Beck showed a graph of Google searches for the word "caliphate." There was a major spike when he urged viewers during his show to pause the TV to look it up so they could understand the Islamic world domination threat. That's good.
Not so good is that they didn't already know the concept. But everybody knows Charlie Sheen is in rehab.
Will we as a people (more than three percent of us) get up to speed in time?

The complicit major media are to blame, of course, and that's no sarcasm. Has Obama kingmaker Oprah been nominated for sainthood yet?
Authors would rise or disappear based on her book club recommendation. What if she, like CANDIDATE Alec Baldwin, ever said "If this were another country, we would go down to [government offices] and stone [a Republican] to death, and then we'd go to his house and stone his family"?
And Ellen DeGeneras. Thoght she was funny, and she's SO generous and kind. Then I read that (shock!) she supports gun control.
What if SHE said it's time?

Apologies concerning Americans and the Beck Google thing.
His viewership is exploding. He's beeen warning about Islam for decades. It's all the millions of NEW people trying to catch up.
The more they hate him, the more people understand.

I'm sure those around you that prayed also prayed for you. So don't pat yourself on the back too hard.

Well said.

Knowledge and determination. Knowledge that you will most likely not survive and none the less, the determination that battle must be done, regardless of self and at all costs. To place one's self in God's hands, praying that he will help you succeed and guide you to that success.

We get along so good together I'm sure we're all gonna be just fine.

We don't have enough enemies to face down, illegal aliens across our southern border, communists running the executive branch and corrupting Congress and our laws/way of life not to mention the wayoff, unlikely Islamist threat.

Yet, we still bicker between ourselves over little bs stuff.

But no worries, I'm sure we're gonna be just fine!
