Just read your article on a pistol against an army and I can see why you got so much credit as a wrighter A Very Good Piece of Work.
It´s like I said on Jenn´s site Don´t underestimate the value of Any firearm that you happen to have.

A good example of why you should always carry a pistol ... sometimes the bullets just run out and it is quicker to draw the pistol:

Also NOTE ... he did NOT drop his primary weapon.

And THAT is why I can rarely pass up a good deal on another handgun.

It's also probably why the hoplophobes hate them the most.

Don't turn your nose up at edged weapons. They too have their place.

For the most part, I agree with Jen's position. I never agreed with the philosophy of "use your handgun to get to your rifle". I don't completely agree with her statement that "TSHTF" will never happen. Take Hurricanes Katrina and Andrew. During the great blackout of 2003, if the power had been off for several more days, we would have had a real problem. Sure, these things were regional, they weren't nation-wide. But a "stable one day, chaos the next" does happen.

Malthus, A hearty second re the good Colonel Cooper but, lighten up on Jenn.

I'd be ecstatic if my wife had half the attitude and perception that Jenn has in abundance.

Good on Jenn for exploring the subject and providing the opportunity for comments sharing.

I'm with aight six. I'm just stoked she's on the ball. Even my mall ninja self doesn't know everything when it comes to firearms. Watch the friendly fire as were all on the same team! :)
